I recently purchased a Shimano Pro Torque Wrench:

Overall, the quality seems very good. I attached one of the head accessories to the wrench but I'm not sure how to remove it. Can anyone here advise?

The ball bearing detent is held in place by a pushrod attached to the circular black bit above the lever (the "button"). Pushing it in allows the bearing to fall back into the anvil, and lets the socket come off. It is a standard attachment type for almost all hand-use ratcheting socket handles.

The tiny round black circle at the bottom appears to be hard welded into the frame.

The larger black circle at the top seems to have a little bit of wiggle room but I'm not able to depress it like a button to pop out the head attachment.

The switch in the middle toggles left and right but only appears to be designed to configure the turn direction of the wrench.

So I'm still not clear on how to pop off the head attachment from this torque wrench?

this appears to be a basic how-to vid for a previous model of the wrench:

the mechanic just presses the button at the top of the wrench and the head attachment comes right off. but that button on my wrench can't be depressed. maybe it's somehow fixed into the depressed position and I simply received a defective unit? I set the torque meter to its lowest setting before trying to press the black button at the top.

Yank on it hard. Or try prying the socket off with a lever of some sort. Many (if not most) socket wrenches just have a spring loaded ball to retain the socket.

I did try yanking on it hard. I guess I'll take the wrench to my LBS tomorrow to see if they can figure it out. Overall the wrench quality seems very good. But obviously I need to be able to remove and replace the head attachments :\
