This might be the dumbest question ever but I have been thinking about it. When airing up the Lefty should the pump be threaded and filled with the shock in riding position or should the bike be flipped upside down and filled (with the air valve facing up).

I have been filling it with the valve facing down (in riding position) but was thinking it would be easier to check when I am putting my wheel on the bike before a ride.

like dan the man said - shouldn't matter. but in case you would have to let same air out it is better to turn it upside down in order to avoid a possible oil spill.

Thanks for the information. I didnt want to be doing something that might cause damage to the shock.
