How to identify Giant Contact dropper post problem?

I have a Giant Contact dropper post problem and I cannot find the cause of it.

The dropper post appears like this:

If I hold/press the lever and make the dropper down and up multiple times, after I release the lever, the dropper doesn't stay where it should be and it cannot hold any weight anymore. I have to stop and wait 5 minutes so that the dropper can hold the position/weight again.

I tried to adjust the cable tension it only makes the dropper too slow, stuck or just loose.

I replaced the cable but it still has the same issue. I haven't replaced the housing yet.

I did a basic dropper service from YouTube videos but that did nothing either and no videos show how to identify if the cartridge works.

Does it work when removed from the bike? That should help determine if it’s a cable/housing issue.

How to test if the cartridge work removed from the bike?
You should be able the actuate it without the remote. If you still have the cable you replaced, you can use that to trigger the actuator just by pulling on it. It can be a little awkward to push the seat down while off the bike, but doable.

I can only actuate the trigger and let the dropper slide up by itself once. I cannot push the dropper down to test if the dropper can hold the weight though.
But the dropper should be fine since it doesn't get pushed down easily. I think the issue is still on the cable tension.
I have this post on my wife's bike. If your cable and housing is kinked, you will have an issue. Have you moved the post up or down without also feeding/guiding the housing along? You could have shifted something so it is misaligned. Is your housing old? It could be fraying at the ends and causing problems. Is the cable itself kinked somewhere in the housing?
I checked the new cable and it is fine. It is not kinked or frayed. The old cable is also fine except a bit frayed on the end where the lever screw tightens.
I haven't pulled out the housing yet. Each end of the housing is not frayed.
Maybe the cartridge is leaking internally at the valve. Some are rebuildable, some not. If it is the rebuildable type, then probably the 4*2mm o-ring of the valve has to be replaced. Otherwise you will need a new cartridge. Ask Giant.

A replacement cartridge is about 30€. Look on Youtube for installing.

How to properly test the cartridge?

Your video suggests that cartridge failed. Fortunatelly you can change only cartridge - check local Giant dealer for right one (they changed over years/models).
