Hi guys. I've been trying to chase down a creak on my Blur. I was going to take the lower pivot shafts out and grease them, but they seem to be seized. I've banged on the screw heads and tapped them with a socket and a mallet, but they just won't seem to budge. Any suggestions on how to get those things out without mangling my frame or bearings?

Try putting some wd40 in there and let it sit for a few hours......that might help. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Otherwise you could go to the hardware/automotive store and look for some penetrating oil as that might be stonger. But be carefully with that, as it mgiht take paint off your frame.

If none of those options work, take it to the LBS and let them do it, that way if they screw up, your not the one to blame.....
