I have a Gary Fisher Aquila that I picked up for cheep(one of those I dont need it, but ill never see it again for this price kinda thing). I have no idea what year it is, Only reason I need to know is I have to sell it. Im not going to ever ride it(just a bit to small), and I kinda need the money. Im really just looking for an online resourse as I dont rememebr much about the bike, I know its white, has a gray bonti seat and whiteish tires, steel, rigid, and has a threaded headset.

Thanks.

Start here:

http://www.firstflightbikes.com/gary.htm

I didn't see it on a quick scan, but it could be there. All the higher-end Fishers are listed there.

If not there, try here:

http://www.airfreetires.com/Specs/Step3.asp?model=Aquila&brand=Gary+Fisher

See if yours matches any of the descriptions. As you can see, it only goes back to 1993.

Finally, you can get a manufacture date for many components and assume the bike is of similar age, Use this site:

http://www.vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm#shimano

Enjoy!

In '96 Fisher made the Aquila (available with a rigid fork) in matte white or matte violet, that sounds like what you have. The matte white model had whitish tires, too. Sorry, not much idea of value; seems like it wasn't a terribly expensive bike new, but wasn't a $400 bike either.
