Hi All,

A friend of mine at work has asked me to help him sell his old mountain bike so he can get a new one! (wifes orders!) He currently has a 2001 Raleigh M80, and it is in pretty good shape. He said after talking with a local bike dealer that he could get $250-$300 bucks for it! I didnt want to break his heart about getting that much but I believe that is pretty over priced. I couldnt find it on bicylce blue book, but a newer one with disc brakes priced out at ~$160. I was thinking $125-$150. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Depends on condition but I would price between $200-$250 if it needs a bunch if work to make it solid its worth Much less. If it is ready to ride and needs nothing then $250 is not un reasonable. Consider the cost of trying to buy a new one. It's still a way nicer bike then a department store model of the same price
