Hi everybody,

Just curious how much sag you guys you run on your DUC32. Or do most of you just go by PSI?

Originally, I tried setting up 25-30% sag, but that forced me to use such low PSI that my DUC would shorten its static travel (I guess the air pressure not able to fully overcome the negative spring force?) and the fork would just blow through its travel.

So, I have it set up with around 85-90 psi, which gives me around 15mm sag and the fork works very well. Anyway, just wondering, if I should move from 5 to 4NM negative spring, so I can get more sag at same or slightly higher PSI. I am around 170 lbs.

Has anybody experimented with different sag and negative spring setups? If so, what setup did you like best?

there's a thread around here somewhere where a number of riders gave their 'psi as % of weight' for both front and rear ...

to be honest, i don't dial in sag so exactly (anymore) - i just roughly check to see that i'm somewhere around 30-40% front and rear and then that i don't blow through the travel too often (i don't have an issue with using ALL of the travel occassionally - in fact, i barely notice it when the DUC32 does ... ). this in turn means ensuring that sufficient oil is available front and rear to provide adequate progression ...

fwiw i'm about 150lbs loaded and run around 65 to 70 psi and the 4Nm spring in the DUC32.

MAX air pressure on the 4Nm spring is like 90psi, so don't go there unless you have to.

Try pumping up the damper cartridge 10+ psi over what you have now.

I am quite happy with my current setup, so I wouldn't say I have to go there. I'm just curious how my DUC would ride, if I had proper sag of 25-30% of overall travel. My current setup gives me only around 15mm sag (10% sag). I am 170 lbs and my current setup is....

Piston flat side up
20mm X .10
12mm X .15
16mm x .10
10wt oil in damper cartridge
65 psi in damper cartridge
Air side oil volume is 12cc
Air side pressure 85-90 psi

I am not sure what I would gain by increasing psi in the damper. Would that allow me to lower the psi on the air side? Yet at the same time the increased psi on damper side would basically resist the 5nm negative spring from sucking down (stealing) overall available travel? Is that the idea behind it?
