I have always been an xc rider, but lately the lately I've taken a liking to the jumps and drops. Nothing real big, and I'm pretty small, 130 lbs. Just wondering, how many feet is too many feet for my tassajara frame?
Yeah, you are basically using the bike for other than its intended purpose. There is no magic number that will crack your frame. Likely you will create stress fractures in the frame until 1 day, boom. That is prob a little dramatic but the failure may happen on a 1 foot drop even if you've been doing 3 footers for the past while. I would say ride it out, have fun; just carefully inspect your frame after each ride. Will only take you a few minutes.
