Hey Gang,


I have a 08 5 spot (only 200 miles) and decided to grease it up, since my RP23 is off to be PUSHED for Christmas. My question is how many pumps should go into the BB zerk and the one behind the shock? I must have pumped 15 times to the one behind the shock and nothing was coming out. And yes grease was going in.
The 200 miles were in dry riding weather.

Pump it till the pump firms up and it gets difficult to add more grease. Then you're good to go.

If it keeps on pumping freely it's either not coming out of the pump or it's coming out somewhere else.

I did notice that it was getting hard to pump. I thought it might be like a typically fitting were it would push the old out, but it never did.

Most standard Turner bushing pivots do not purge while pumping.
They purge slowly over time while riding.

Some looser ones purge slightly most don't.
DHR and Highline needle-bearing pivots purge freely.

keep pumping. worst case scenario the zerk will pop out - then it is full.....
