Whats the ideal weight for a full setup hardtail bike in the alluminum category?
Im 73kg and what bike weight is suitable for me for XC.

This is a tough question to answer without some more info, including price, etc. However, I assume most of the M5 bikes are between 24 and 29 pounds stock. You can then bring them down significantly based on the standard upgrades (wheels, then maybe stem, bars, post, drivetrain, etc).

I think 12kg - 14kg is normal weight for M5 category.

If you can go as low as 11kg, that's is awesome already.

at 70kgs you can make it as light as you want. The question shouldn't be "How heavy should it be?" but "How much money do I have for components?"

I think I should edit what I wrote.

I think 13kg -15kg is normal weight, and that's already include some light weight components but not carbon yet.

I bought a 2011 M5 29'r frame and built it up with a mix of parts I had. As of now, the bike weighs in at 10.59kg or 23.3lbs
