Hi all. I just bought a sram gxp crank with the 24/22mm stepped axle but it hasn't come with any spacers or preload ring. Am I missing something? How do you preload the bearings?
Thanks

Right, no preload. The step on the spindle and the NDS arm pinch the inner race of the NDS bearing. On the DS, there's a gap between the bearing and crank arm. Sometimes there are separate shields for the BB bearings and the DS one gets held against the face of the DS bearing by a wavy washer.

Read the instructions. When it comes to torquing the crank down, there is more than just tighten it to spec. Make sure to grease the spindle, then torque to spec of 54Nm. Check for play. If there is play, pull the CD crank arm off, regrease and torque to spec. Repeat if there is still play. If no play, you are all set.
