I have a Yakima DoubleDown rack and I'm having trouble keeping the front wheel from twisting side to side on my mountain bike. I use a velcro strap on my road bikes, but it's too short for the MTB. So anyone else have this problem? Any solutions.

I use bungee cords. I got a pack of 10 varying length ones at walmart years ago. I hook from the water bottle holder through the front wheel and back. As long as you get one that is pretty tight, the wheel will not move too much..

A velcro strap or bungee cord. Wrap it through the wheel and the tube of the frame. There will be slight movement but very minimal.
IMHO I would strap the wheel to the tray rather than the bike frame, one more thing to keep the bike on the car.

Just thought of another solution, let the air out of the tire and your roadie strap may fit.
