New owner of a Hightower. There is a lot going on down around that low pivot. Pretty tight in there. How do you guys keep that area of the frame clean?

I've been using a combination of Peaty's Loam Foam and Degreaser followed by a flush with warm water.
No water through high-pressure nozzles...
I did this thing after a mud ride. Have to try this on trails yet

Having owned a Santa Cruz for four years now, I've found that rinsing mud out of that bottom linkage area is critical. If I keep that area clean by spraying water on it after a muddy ride, the thing works great. If I neglect it, it creaks like a mofo after a couple of rides. Don't worry too much about the water spraying stuff - you get free bearings for life, and I've found that even directly spraying from my hose nozzle causes virtually no water infiltration. In that respect it's very well designed.

Once or twice a year, I take the bottom linkage apart and clean and re-grease everything, and I replace the bearings if they're feeling gritty. They bearings do seem to last a long time, though.
