I was giving my drivetrain a clean today with a Parktool Chain Scrubber. I noticed that the gaps between the teeth on the first few (largest) cogs look elongated. I was wondering if the cassette is out of limits.:eekster: I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is some kind of tool to measure cog wear. Can anyone fill me in on this.

If a new chain skips, the cogs are worn.

With the amount of contouring on cogs it is nearly impossible to see or measure wear.

The chain is not new but it's still well within limits. I've got a Rohloff chain checker. There certainly is no skipping.

I've just had a look in "Zinn" and he says Rohloff make a cassette checker. I'll have to investigate that. It's an XTR cassette and I'm a bit freaked.
