  • Take your wheel off;
  • Unbolt the brake callipers from the fork and remove the brake line from the lefty guides;
  • Loosen the top clamp bolts that grip the lefty tube, not the ones that clamp the steerer tube;
  • Tighten up the rebound adjuster and then remove the lefty top cap;
  • Now loosen the remaining clamp bolts on the bottom clamp that grip the left tube;
  • Slide the lefty down through the loose clamps;
  • Put the top back on the lefty.

When you get the lefty off you will see a groove running down it. This positions the lefty correctly when you reinstall it.

Hy

Sorry to intrude, but i want to remove the tube so i can access the bearings inside the steerin column. i removed the stem, loosened the bolts but was unable to slide down the black tube.

How do i do it?
