I've been skiing, but haven't gone biking at a resort with lifts. How does that actually work? do you have to the hold the bike on the lift, or is there some thing they add to hold the bike on the side of the chair?

OOPS!! Sorry for that. There is only one picture on there with the lift, but it is not all that clear either. I will find the post that I was thinking of and post it later. You might want to check the Downhill/FR forum.

It's usually just a hook or two.

This is how they do it at one of the ski resorts I go to:

At another resort I go to, they have a single hook on the back of the quad lift and they just hang one of the wheels off of that.

At my local mountain its a single hook that holds one of the wheels and the rest of the bike kinda dangles and leans agains the lift. At another mountain near me they do the same thing but lines get long there and they set up a line for people willing to hold their bike on their laps.
