After hearing the news yesterday I was alarmed at the devestation of a 6.3 quake. Im sure Im not alone in tis concern but Im willing to shoulder some burden for this.

I'm a member of FEMA Group 9 of Greater Los Angeles as well as a DH rider of SoCal..

mind numbing to see so much destruction and deaths so close to home and frustrating that we can't just go down there and help. would get in the way of search and rescue teams apparently.

Hi, Christchurch resident here.

Yes, it is an aweful situation here and the best anyone can do is as MrsH suggested by donating via the red cross or similar organisation.

Despite the obvious devastation shown in international media many of us are safe and in good health, albeit stessed, tired and very worried. We certainly appreciate the concerns and wishes from around the country and the rest of the world.
