I've been riding for a few years and im young im hip im hop and i wanna get into dirt jumping, what are the proper steps to do a successful table top, also how can you get yourself to get past that mental part and just go for a drop or jump and not worry about the possible outcome, has to do something with confidence right????

the best way to learn jumping is to start out small.find a small jump with a flat landing.after you feel good with that start jumping sidewalks from drive way to drive way.they have a take off and a landing.and they are not that far apart.once you get the feel of your bike in the air then you can try to go bigger.one or two foot lip.with a landing.check out your bmx track.they should have some good jumps to learn on . find a table top jump. it will help you to learn jumping and landing you cant come up short.as far as the fear. it will allways be there.every time i jump i goose bumps.and iv been riding for 17 years.its a good little rush. but once you hit your first big jump your golden :D

what always helped me was I would say in my head " Huck it of F*** it, I didnt come all this way to chicken out and not hit anything " a good thing to also di is try to find the speed your comferatable with and ride up to the jump at that speed then at the last second pull on your brake, thus stopping before the jump. do this a couple of times untill your comferatable.

hitting the jump: alright you are going to want to hit the speed that your cool with and just go off the jump, make sure not to squeeze your brake in the air or that'll throw you foreward. make sure when you goo off, to keep your front wheel up till you see your landing, when you see your landing then just nose into it. keep 1-2 fingers on your brake lever just incase its a wierd landing

the first couple of times you might case it, but that happens to all of us.

ride with a buddy or make sure people are around so if you fall and get F***** up, there will be somewhare there
