Most shady and north facing areas have patches of packed snow and some ice.
Yup, I rode chutes -> gold camp road -> middle columbine last Saturday, and things weren't too bad except for a few spots on lower columbine.teleken said:Most shady and north facing areas have patches of packed snow and some ice.
Good to know. may need to get off my arse and ride early tomorrow.JOEMTBR COLORADO said:And it didn't suck.
Just to say it again, the earlier you ride the better off the trails will be.
was thinking 930ish but may have some flexibility.JOEMTBR COLORADO said:I am able to ride during the day.
Amazingly, upper stoopid was rideable this morning when Joe and I got out there. A small amount of downhill pedaling thru snow, but no big deal.pastajet said:upper stoopid, limbaugh, mule - out for season
That one creek crossing (that you wheelied across) was way sketchy. I had a hard time walking it...JOEMTBR COLORADO said:Trail was in great shape but man were those Stream crossings something:madman:
Had to remind myself, take your hand off the front brake
Thanks for hitting it up this morning, Sunday?
Mid morning is already too late for Palmer. Cheyenne should be rideable all day.PuraVida said:So Palmer or Cheyenne? Which one is looking better for a mid morning ride?
If anybody is heading out to either let me know. Would be game for connecting.
I rode the lower portion (Fire Station to B52 spur) a few days ago. Pretty much what you would expect; dry on south facing slopes, packed snow and ice on the north faces. It was all rideable, but with the warm weather we have been having I would expect more and more ice.FrontRangeFat said:Anyone have recent trail conditions for Falcon Trail at the AFA?
