if you wait
that model may be sold out. Many Stumpy models in 06 sold out fast. Only you know the answer to the burning question of new bike need.
If you lived here in Central New York, waiting a few more months may not rob you of much quality mtb riding. Although we still have no snow, and it's been almost 60 for a week. Anyway, being in the sunshine state, 6 months is a lot of lost quality riding oppourtunities.
Here is another alternative maybe you have/haven't considered. My father use to say "a working man will have nothing unless he goes into debt", so...put the bike on a low rate credit card-they are out there. Check the shop credit/manufacturer percentage rates, look into a personal loan from your bank.
If you are young, fresh out of school, what better way to start building your credit. If you make enough, to save enough to buy the bike in 6 months as you say...get it now on credit, you should be able to afford it. That's a win-win situation. You get the sweet new ride, and work toward establishing a good credit rating.
A good credit rating is a very good thing indeed.
