FisherFan had a great idea, posted on the site feedback forum. (It is not getting the attention it deserves.)

How about a stolen (item) forum, to help victims vent, possibly track items, share horror stories, and security measures?

For the stolen bikes most of the victims will post them by state. If their is any chance of them getting recovered it would be at a state level most likely. I do like the idea of a forum for newsworthy items. An example would be earlier this year a mountain biker went too fast on a trail in Washington and went over a cliff falling to his death. It pretty much got no news at all. Another example would be the bust of a large bike theft ring in Santa Cruz that stole maybe over $100,000 worth of bikes. Finally mabe legislation involving bikes could be posted like trail access etc. I know in Washington a lawmaker has proposed making it illegal to tow a child in a bike trailer on the road. It might be nice if their was one forum that could fit all this stuff including noteworthy bike and trailhead thefts.
