Houston People… Trail Question

I went out to the trail that this link is talking about this morning.
http://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-s...s/texas-houston/trail/PRD_170494_4582crx.aspx

I found the trail no problem but there was not much to it. There was a maybe half mile loop of a little dire road. I found a few little bits of single track that were very over grown. After about a ¼ mile or so they were so overgrown they could not be ridden on anymore. So did I miss something or is this trail just not used anymore?

Thanks,
Adam

my guess is that it just hasn't been used as much anymore. The more popular spot around houston is memorial park. Check out ghorba.org
That’s kind of what I figured. Its just handy because its rite by my house. But oh well. Thanks,
Adam
Spend a little more time exploring those trails, especially further to the East. There are bunches of trails along Cy Creek near Huffmeister and Eldridge area. All thru the woods in and around Ravensway subdivision. Also be sure to scout both sides of the creek.

Cypress North Houston to Timberlake Drive. Go north on Timberlake all the way down to the end. Turn left and go down about 1/2 mile, you'll see a park and horse stables on your right. Park there. Go back in the back of the park and explore a little to find the trails. from there you can go east or west. Also, you can park there and then go back down the street towards Timberlake Drive. Right where Timberlake dead ends, you can pick up the trails there as well.

BEWARE! Quite a few motorcycles and ATV's back in there. Keep your eyes and ears open.
Cool. I will go check it out.

Thanks,
Adam
