How are you guys installing accessory's on your Kona's. Specifically the Hoss. The bars are so oversized that the stand mounting systems that come with lights, bell's, computers etc just don't work, unless you install right beside the break leavers.

I prefer to have my light and bell installed right at the stem, as I never use them, but legally I need to have them on my bike and in working condition. I have used zip ties for now, but they let the light more around and its stripping the powder coat off the bars.

Can I get accessories meant for larger bars?

Where do you live? tight a$$ rules if u ask me.

But about the question, I have no idea since I havent had these things on a bike since I was 7 years old. Have you thought about fabricating your own?

Ontario - Since most of my riding companions have been busted already this year with the 95$ for no bell, and given warnings for the light (lights are only needed 30mins before dusk until 30mins after dawn) I had to install them. Seems this year the bike police are out in force on the GTA trails (waterfront & Culam trails included).

My fabrication was to just use zip ties. I will just have to keep doing that.

Here is a thought, take a old tyre tube and cut it, wrap it around the handlebar/stem and zip tie the light/bell on that, protects your bar/stem and it is sticky so it will be more likely to stay in place longer.

The bell from MEC is the bell I bought. Picked it up there during lunch a few weeks back.

They are nicer then the tradition bells. But still not large enough to fit around the bars.

Not ready to spring for new bars yet. I would rather get a new fork.
