There's also a copper bushing. The last time I did this, a month back, the olive really didn't look crushed or deformed at all. I re-used it all shortening the lines.

From memory they give you spares with new brakesets. In any case the olive is designed to be reuseable a few times as long as you remove it without mangling it (I just use a thin jewellers screwdriver to pry it apart).

The barb is also reuseable although can be hard to remove. I tend to just cut the hose along its length and then peel it off the barb.

I run hope on a lot of my brakes and the E4s not only come with the extra barb, the last set I bought came with and extra set of pads.
