im running hope bulbs and currently the rear is set up for use with a QR, i was just wondering is it possible to have it set-up as a bolt thru on a normal bike frame, or do i need a specified bolt thru specific frame?

also are there any mods to allow it to become bolt thru?

The Hope Pro II can be converted (either 135mm or 150mm) to a thru-axle (10mm), but I am not aware of any similar parts for the Bulb. I doubt the two hub parts are compatible either. I know the front hubs are different.

Any frame should be able to use a bolt-on axle system. A dedicated thru-axle is a little different though, in that the dropouts aren't open on the bottom: you hold the wheel in place and side the axle through the holes in the frame and through the hub and then secure the axle in place via pinch bolts or similar.

yeah my frame isnt a dedicated drop out type, jus saw some nifty hybrid bolt thru systems for QR forks, and wondered if the bulb had the same feature.

Ah, you are correct. I don't see a 10mm version though. Seems like a natural enough thing since there is a 12mm version...
