I see lots of old bikes on the streets

but they are usually very used and abused
the frames still looked good to go
I saw an all XT elevated chainstay Balance with a first gen Zoke fork under a agricultural worker the other day. If my wife wasn't with me, I would've made an offer.

I see a guy on a late 80's Schwinn Cimmeron fairly often. One of the dark maroon ones that I've always had a soft spot for.

Anyways, CRC will win this discussion.
Though the story didn't involve a homeless person, the 'off the street buy' concept reminded me of this thread, which is absolutely worth resurrecting!

CRC - what's the status on that bike, anyway?
this thread should lead into "of all your vintage bikes which is the one you would have if you were homeless". for me it's my 1992 Curtlo.

Fantastic bike. That color is somehow the most perfect thing about it too.

Thanks.

Color is unusual for sure.

I've often debated about putting the POTTS stickers on it or leaving it as is.

that color is good. I heard it was called Sea Foam Green from Mr Potts himself. I think I have a random Potts stem in that color. Now I just need a frame and fork.... :)

Nice pics at the lake there.

I think silver ones would look good but black ones not so much. Not that it doesn't look great how it is.
Here's a Fat Chance I picked up for $35 a few years back.
