Anyone that owns a Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon will know that there's a lot of noise from the chain slap and that the chain comes of pretty easily on really fast and rough terrain. I was going to buy a bionicon chain guide and Shimano XTR Shadow rear derailer but that was gunna cost a fair bit. I then saw someone build a chain device for there Giant Reign on this website and thought that is what I should do aswell. The parts that were used are
*two old cheapo rear reflector light clamps,a rubber seat post shim I had lying around and a longer bolt to connect the clamps together.
Cost= $0.00
Weight= 40grams
and it works a treat!!!!
No more chain slap noise,no more falling chain. Plus is has zero effect to the chain and gear shifting. Happy days!

Was looking for Firebird info, and came across this topic. NICE ONE, BY THE WAY!

Sorry for the offtopic!
It looks like your rear tire is bigger (higher) than the front and doing so, that will make the angles more vertical.
That one looks like a 2.25.
I measure, Ardent 2.4 and found that is 14mm bigger (diameter) than a 2.35 HR.
It seems that the Panaracer is smaller in diameter than the Ardent.
Is what you wanted?

Absolutely love it! The Bionicon distro here in Aus has been out of stock for too long (with the stock ETA continually extending), and I have plenty of light brackets in the spares box!

I'm gonna go make me a chain guide!

Thanks!
