Mark's buddy Lee McCormack (who co-authored a nice skills book featuring Brian Lopes a couple of years ago) set up a PayPal account for anyone who wanted to donate a bit of $$$ to help Mark and family through the transition, although as you mentioned hopefully he has good homeowner's insurance. Probably not as needy as any other millions of underfed people worldwide, Haitian quake refugees, etc. but Mark was a great guy during my experience at Santa Cruz's Hellride - 1st edition circa 2004 - so I sent off a bit of cash to him.

Hudge destruction,
wicked stop those firefighters made!
With that much damage to the garage, and they saved parts of the house.
Big thing is that no one got hurt ( hopefully).
And what a great excuse to get some new bikes!
