True but they gots some delicious burritos up there.
A few of us from the Parkersburg area will be up this weekend to Davis. There
is a friend of ours already at Blackwater Falls SP and he want's us to lead him and
a couple of his friends up around Yellow Birch, Davis Trail, Plantation, etc. I plan to
come up tomorrow morning hope to be there around 10 so I can set up camp and
then may do a short ride tomorrow afternoon.

Saturday I made a note on another page. Will be leaving the bike shop at 11 and
doing a ride up to Plantation. It will likely include Yellow Birch, Fire Trail 6, Lindy,
Fire Lane, and Son of Plantation. This will not be a fast paced ride as most of you
know. But fun will be had.

Sunday may do another short ride before leaving.

Hope to see some of you there.

You don't get out much, do you? My memory of Thomas fireworks was one shot every 3 or 4 minutes. Whoopee!

Seriously, you need to get to Pittsburgh some time. They do 'em up right.

Man I missed that - love some good picking and grinning (I'm a grinner). We did the Po-Boy Marlington Motor Inn Pub crawl this weekend instead. Got to ride me some new Slatyfork trails. What a muck fest - but I loved it. Will post some pics later. Hope you folks at Davis had a good ride or two.
Took a sneek peak at your photo's.Man that looks like a fun time.I can't wait to get down there.Red run hmmm, its hard to believe they call that a trail. Its more like two miles of trying not to get hurt, with a smile.

davis, things must have changed since you were around there. We watched the fireworks on Friday night and I was totally surprised. I sure didn't expect fireworks that rival anything the City of Parkersburg has set off for their prize winning blast during homecoming. They were awesome !

I stand corrected. Things truly must have changed. Back in the day, I'd seen better displays in the Motel 8 parking lot after Dead shows. Of course, those colors were pretty intense after a Dead show, if you know what I mean.

You missed the pickin' but the riding was slimy as hell. Basin side was an ice rink and the western territory was peanut butter in places. I stayed in the village watching the shows most of the weekend. Call me lazy, But I just didn't feel like cleaning the bike......again. :madman:
