Not to brag or anything, but I'm not working from now until Jan 2. Anyone in the same boat and want to check out ST, Demo, Russian Ridge, Santa Cruz, Coe? Dwight? Bruce? Can we get you to come over to this side of the hill?

I think Coe will be good Saturday if forecast holds. Russian Ridge dries up pretty fast too but it will still pretty sticky on Friday. GF and I are thinking about Coe on Saturday. I'm off except for Tuesday and Wed. next week as well.

After today, I've got about a month off. My high school doesn't start back up until the 17th of January. One of the good benefits of being a teacher, I guess? I'm willing to ride, take a trip, explore during the break. I was talking to Dwight last night and told him that we should go ride somewhere else. I think he's got a little time off. I guess it's kinda hard to drag someone away from SC because of the close proximity of all the trails though.

What about Skeggs or Marin (China Camp or Tamarancho) never been to any of these places. I'm willing to do a short road trip, going up past SF would be nice too cause I could stop in the city, after I ride, and catch up w/some friends. Let me know I'm in. What about a trip to Tahoe, for some snow sports?

When are you thinking about doing China Camp? I try to regularly hit both sides, although for the past month I've been spending more time either indoors or on my road bike.

With family in Sacramento and a four day weekend with a clear forecast for the Christmas holiday, I think I'm going to have to pay Auburn a visit. It's been a while...

Yep. Let's plan some rides.

Santa Teresa will likely be a mud bog for a week or more, so that's probably out, unless you know that it's OK. The worst mud I ever encountered was at ST. That stuff will literally stop you right in your tracks. I really like riding there otherwise. Climbing Rocky Ridge is fun.

I've never been to Russian Ridge or Coe. Why don't you pick the spot and we'll show up. I'll check with Dwight. Is Dan available to ride?

I'll know later today if I have this Friday off. If so, that'd be good. I need to stay close to home on Christmas Eve, but I'm free to ride after that. Monday after Christmas, or later works for me.

Cheers

I haven't been riding in a while, but I am planning on riding ST on thurs (If it doesn't rain between now and then), so I'll give a trails report if I go. Fri morning my bud and I are gonna ride Demo, and then sat we're gonna do a Coe ride. We both haven't had time to ride lately, so it'll be a kinda slowpoke ride. Well as least on the climbs it'll be.

I have Friday off

this week and Monday after Christmas off. Then Friday the 30th I have off. Now the bad news... I have been audited by our lovely IRS. I have to have all my "stuff" in their hands(in Texas of all places- hell just give me Bush's address and I will send him the check) by Jan. 2nd- Yeah... Merry Christmas from all of us here at the IRS!!! Stupid motha**>@%##**! I will stop before I am taken away. Don't know how much "free" time I am going to have. I will definitely need some stress relieving rides

OMG!!

They must have been monitoring your emails and tapping into your lines, now thy're coming after you. I warned you about dissing those guy's, but you wouldn't listen, uh huh, wouldn't listen.

I just might have to come over the hill and join you guy's for one of these rides. Coe or Santa Cruz would be my preference. Any time next week.

On the other hand, maybe I should stay put. I don't want to get audited by association.

jps

F^ck ST and it's mud!!!!
That place just about ended our relationship because of that damn mud.

Russian Ridge should be good. We could even start at the Gap and do an Epic. There are a few short technical climbs I think you'll have fun trying to master at the Gap. Short meaning about 10' in length.

Oh, never mind. I just remembered they have closed the good trails at the Gap that connect to Russian Ridge and other places.

I hate winter.

-Dan

PS. No idea if I can get the day off yet...

Friday- Russian Ridge

Let's shoot for that. (Looks like rain tonight and tomorrow-- RR dries out pretty quick.) Details to follow. Maybe I'll post something in the new NorCalendar.

Dan's going to try to get the day off too.

You're on! Keep us informed about the details. Dwight and I will be driving over the hill together (he doesn't know that yet :p ). Hopefully the trails will have enough time to dry. It's raining over here again. We got over 7" of rain the other day. The trails here ......how can I express the condition? ....... Is the word "gloop" descriptive? Oh....I got it....... The trails have the consistency of that stuff you had stuck to your bike last week :D

I hope you washed your bike.
