Are there any options to retrofit a yakima hold up bike rack to carry a fat bike?
I know yakima now has this new version ability; I believe the EVO, but I already own the earlier hold up. Are there any kits/adaptors or plans to DIY I may purchase? I'm hopeful but didn't see any when googled
TIA

You might try the fat bike forum for more answers: Fat bikes

Not sure what rack you're using, but I have used my Yakima roof/fork rack with my fat bike many times and it works great. The fork mounts just like any other fork on the tray and I use a Voile strap (Voile Straps: Voile) for the rear wheel.
The rack is a hitch mount, made by yakima that is named “Hold Up”. The tire holders don’t even come close to fitting 4.5 tires. I’ve got the 2 bike attachment and thought about laying the bike flat across the 4 trays with padding underneath and strapping it down ******* style.
When you use your roof tray with the strap, do you use any piece between the rear tire and tray, to hold the wider tire secure?
Thanks for the info. I’ll try over at the fat bike forum.

I fold a small towel/washcloth and put it on the rack and underneath the tire, although it's not clear that's actually necessary.

Now I got a 1-Up with the fat-bike attachment and use that more than the roof rack.
