I'm not sure what you might call them. I have a Draw-Tite 1.25" hitch on my 2013 Scion xB with a single-tray 1Up rack. The hitch has stoppers at the rear of the receiver hole that prevents the rack from poking out the other end and thus sitting closer to the bumper.
The rack doesn't sit far out from the bumper, and that's never been a huge issue, but it would look better if it sat as close to the bumper as possible.
Some hitches don't have these stoppers. What are they for? And has anyone filed or grinded them away so that they could insert the rack farther into the hitch receiver? Is it recommended?
