As of now the HDT is snow covered, probably won't be open until late March/early April. The system is very fragile during spring thaw. It's supposed to be snowy/wet here later part of February. You won't damage the trail if you ride when it's frozen, but it's not particularly fun when under snow, and when the sun hits in the morning there are always melty patches that have some sticky clay that most of us locals have no appetite for.

Bummer, I am anxious to check these trails out too!! Hopefully they do become ridable but I won;t be holding my breath. Thanks for the information.
