Anyone been up camping and/or biking around Bachelor with in the last few days? Just curious if anyone has any first hand knowledge of the bug density. I would like to stay at Little Lava or in the general area.

We did a ride from Timpanogas this last Saturday for Ride Fest, and even though we started 1/2 mile from any water source we were getting attacked by Skeeters fast and furious.

Not sure how it is further east in the Little Lava area but if it is anything like where we were at I wouldn't be going...

I was up at Elk Lake two weekends ago and mosquitos did not bother us. There were a bunch of mayflies (or something) that would land on us, but no bites.

I was up near matthiew lakes a few weeks ago, got eaten alive. they didnt even care about deet.
