See what you could have been doing!!

It was upper teens when we started, but once the sun got up, it was just fine:thumbsup:

I think the frozen dirt is almost as good as Porn Dirt. Rock Garden was in mid-season form.

Can you tell who has problems focusing a camera:rolleyes:

Dawn patrolling is great. On our weekday rides we usually hit the dirt when it's still pitch dark. By the time we finish the climb it's light enough to descend. Good times!

I was at Hall on Sat am really early. 19 degrees, I believe. Everything was rideable except for the loop - too much snow. You're right about the frozen dirt. Traction a plenty.

Steve, does this mean you're on the Front Range now?

Everybody loves a comedian. :D Yes it was still there at 10am, but would have been alot softer, too soft to ride in spots. Plus, there were probably 10 riders getting ready to head up as we finished, we had the whole place to ourselves.

One advantage of getting older..............

John,

I am becoming much like that old bull in the story of the young bull and the old fella - instead of running down the hill and getting a few of those cows, I would rather walk down and get 'em all!:D

You are still that young bull!

With another milestone coming up in June - 56 - I am definitely there but I sure don't let it slow me down too much for the DH - I have just adjusted my equipment - bike, tires, suspension, and armor - to accommodate and motivate.

I have certainly gotten more and more protected the more I ride. I guess the better you get, the more chance there is for injury (especially if you are tyring to improve). I know my pads didn't help much this last fall when I did and OTB and cracked my ribs though! I don't think there is any guarantees in this sport.

I take that back, I got a trainer for christmas. My wife is loving it becasue "there aren't any rocks". That is fairly safe.
