Which Boxxer do you have on your ride? And what are you thoughts on it now that you have a season on it?
it's the 05 ride. max of 7" travel. love it, *but* if you are thinking of one, do yourself a favour and get the 06. much better damping, and the maxle feature. the lowerable travel has been wonderful on rides with long climbs.

i'm working on getting the 06 damping guts to throw into mine (which RS/SRAM has assured me will work)

as is, i'm pretty damn happy with the 05, it's just that the 06 is that much nicer......i should have waited a few more months to get mine!

Good to know. Debating on throwing a big boy bike together and I am weighing my fork options. Thanks for the info and let me know how those new internals work out.
it may be a while. not sure how long it will take to get them.

unless you're doing a lot of huck type stuff, i think the Ride is a perfect front range large bike fork. drop the front to climb, back up to come down.

though some of the new lighter weight 6-7" marzocchi single crowns seem to be pretty nice as well, and a little lighter. though i think the Ride is a little cheaper.

check with larry up at mtn. high cyclery for pretty good Ride prices, compared to anywhere else i've seen.

Yeah, I am no hucker but I do feel the need for more travel when I hit the resort type stuff and the slacker head angle will certainly help out some. Might have to wait till the 06s are out since I am not in a huge hurry.

oh, the 06 models are already out and available. check with larry. very good deals. or, you can get an o5 on e-bay. i've seen new ones blowing out for pretty damn cheap. though i still suggest an 06.

i wouldn't get much to sell my 05 for, so i'm just going to upgrade it to the new damping rather than trade up to an 06 and have to spend even more money. though the maxle on the 06 sure would be nice. love the one on my hardtail's Pike.
