It is a 1997 GT LTS-1 full suspension. XT components all around, except for an XTR front derailleur. Judy DH fork, Mavic SUP rims, Missle DH tires, Kore stem, Kore hub releases, Answer riser handlebar. In very good working condition with the usual bumps and scrapes on a mountain bike. What do you think I could get for it?

Thanks!

GT LTS Value

Praetorian I'm not sure how much you LTS is worth, but I know it's a 1996 not a 97. The 96 had the titanium swinglink and 3.5 inches of travel while the 97 had a aluminum swinglink and an adustable travel chip from approxiamately 3.5 to 4.5 inches of travel. I have a 1995 which is the same as yours except it came with a Fox Alps 4 air shock and has a smaller diamater down tube. My bike is better equipped than your's but has a big dent in the down tube (still rideable) and I wouldn't think of selling it because it's not worth much with the dent and I still like the bike. If the parts are in good shape you may want to put them on another frame, and sell the LTS frame separately. The price differential from selling the frame or frame and fork only compared to selling the whole bike probably would not be that extreme. Good luck: PMW

I bought a 95/96 model back in late 95. It had the large downtube like this one and came with the air shock. Mine wouldn't work with V brakes. I had to fashion an adapter out of Showa fork and was able to get the rear v brakes to work. I think GT made changes to the frame during mid year. I'm not sure what model year, but I remember that was the next year I saw this decal set on the frame. Bad pivots, flexy rear end and brake jack. I should have bought a Jamis. $200

96 eh? I got the bike used a few years ago...guess I remembered the year incorrectly. Damn...for $200 it is worth it to me to just hang on to it and save a little longer for a new bike! Old technology...nobody wants it! lol

My neighbor..

has a 98 zascar. Full XTR drivetrain. he thinks it worth more then what people have offered him so far. i dont know how anyone would spend 2004 dollars chasing 1998 technology.
