God, it seems like I just got her, and so much has changed already. She's got a Z1 FR SL on her, with Thomson bar and post and numerous other (too) expensive tidbits, which, in retrospect, seems silly. The stuff they had on there was fine, but I had to make her mine ;)

What a great riding bike. Specialized, my helmet's off to you.

Here ya go. my Enduro

Well here is my Ride - Like you Finch I have a Z1 on the front of mine but my Z1 is coil. really make a well balanced ride with the 130 front and 130 back setting. I have my bike on a "Diet" for winter with some smaller tires - and lighter wheels. I am running my King jim lights on front and my Fire XC pro 2.1 on back.

In the summer /Fall I was running My panaracer FR 2.4 in front with a Motoraptor 2.4 in back.

the rest of the stuff on my bike is my own spec list as I bought the frame only and built it up last winter.

7.5 eye to eye if I remember correctly, and a 2.3 inch stroke. I did the math, and it should yeild about 5.7 inches of travel. It rides really really nice. I am 140 pounds and run a 550 spring too. Fox vanilla R.

where did you pick it up? could you re-use the spacers that came with your fox float with itch switch?

wow - is this the Enduro worship thread?

I've got one of them, too! But mine's for sale (well, frame is). I had an '00 Enduro, one of the originals, but it broke. Specialized sent an '02 frame as a replacement (yeah big S!) and I just don't like it as much; just doesn't feel right to me. Was able to demo an Epic and man, did it feel right! So I got a frame for Christmas and swapped over my parts. Oh well. Great bike, just not right for me.

She's beautiful. Does she fetch? Bet she comes when you call. Too bad that pretty blue Specialized takes up so much of the foreground... otherwise you might have been able to zoom in on her a bit better. :D

P.S. I hate smilies. But I must learn to use them properly.

Already posted in the post your bike forum.

You guys have some sick Enduros.

guitarhero, what size front tire are you running?

Sorry I am not guitarhero but I was running a Panaracer FR 2.4 that is nice and big.
But I wanted to ask about your rear shock. What size and stroke is it? what about the actually spring - what kind is it ( 2.00 x 500 or something like that). Thanks - I have been thinking about putting a coil on mine and was look for some ideas -
Any trouble with the spacing or bushings?

cbchess,

The shock is a fox Vanilla RL, 7.875 with a 2" stroke. It's .25" longer than stock, but i notice no difference in the geometry or how the chainstay sits. I have a 750lbx2.25 spring. Pretty stiff but I'm over 200lbs and like to jump. The bike seams to handle much better and doesn't feel as flexy as it did with the air shock. The lockout is nice for the climbs :) My stock shock had the itch without a lockout  It looks like they all have lockouts for 2004, which is good, they need it IMO.

I used the stock bushings from the Float. Everything fit great! It only took about 5-10 minutes to swap out.

Check this site out for fitting the right spring to your weight, go higher in the rate then recommended if you like doing some jumps and drops CLICK HERE

My '03 Enduro Comp

Pardon the Logitech camera picture. Thanks to Supergo in Santa Monica for the excellent sales and after sales care you have provided. That's from the Manager, salesman & Jorge at the service dept. I can't begin to describe how much fun I have with this Specialized Enduro. =) And thanks to Jorge for quickly trouble shooting minor issues and getting me running within 5 minutes. Just amazingling friendly service I've never expected from a national chain.
