Ok...so, I'm sitting on what could possibly be one of the last Iggy frames that is essentially new. Despite all the negatives I've heard about it, I'm going to go ahead and build it anyway, since I took most of my parts off another bike.

But I'm stuck. Maybe I have the wrong front derailler. I have an XT M770 top swing, and I can't see how this thing can be mounted at all. The left chainstay prevents the derailler from being mounted -- the clamp hits the chainstay, and can't slide down the seat tube far enough.

I'm so certain I'm just being a dumb-ss here --- so what the heck am I doing wrong? :madman:

OK, so it appears that a Top Swing FD will not work with an Iggy frame. Can anyone confirm? Is anyone using a Top Swing FD?

Top Swing =/= Top Pull.

Top swing will def not work on my frame. I can take a pic and post it up if anyone is interested, but it def won't work.

Traditional high clamping front dérailleurs are Down Swing with
top pull or low pulling cables routing (also available in dual pull)

Low clamping front dérailleurs are Top Swing and are available in a
top pull or bottom pull cable routing (also available in dual pull)

Due to the placement of the swing-arm on the IGGY, a high clamping
front dérailleur is needed..

Whole lot of "swinging" and "pulling" going on here. I think this one's "top pull".

So OEM Iggy came with a High Clamping, Down Swing with Top Pull derailleur?

Just checking to see if it will transfer to my FTM.

Thanks
