Hello,

I am a recent convert from road biking. I am currently riding an 06 stumpy HT and I cant wait for my new bike from TrueNorth Cycles.

There are 15 bikes on order ahead of me so I have some time to make my decision.

I am really interested in the 2011 Fox fit 32 F29 Terralogic. My issue is that there is a lack of reviews. I realize that it is new, but was hoping some of you may have info on it. My main concerns are the reaction time of the brass mass (fox claims its "instant")"and the reliability of the terralogic compaired to other forks.

Also, if you feel that this fork is not the right fit for such a build, let me know.

Thanks

Do it. I'm looking forward to trying out the update.

The technology isn't new for fox, so you might want to search the forums for info on +/-.

I used a terralogic damper in my float 100 on my 26er SS for two years. It is a great technology for single speed. It was harsh on the initial hit and then felt like a regular fox float. Sounds like their update provides a bit more tuning.

The terralogic is the top of line technology that was on the F80X and F100X on the previous generation. There was a problem with the "Specialized Brain" patent infringement or something rather. Specialized and Fox are partners in suspension currently and may explain Fox re-introducing Terralogic. I liked my 2006 Fox F100X, my mechanic did not, he thought the knocking was a defect, it was not. I prefer the manual lockout lever on my F29 RLC although if I were to buy a fork today for my 29SS hardtail, I would get a 2011 Terralogic 80mm F29 with the gold coat stancions, badass fork, man!

Thanks illnacord,

I am now set on the terralogic. I need to discuss 80mm vs 100mm with the builder and see what he thinks.

Assuming he can make the steering tube angle and geometry work (which i am sure he can) why would i not go with the 100mm?

Does the 80mm fork have any advantages other than weight on a custom frame?

I have the 120mm Terralogic Talas 29 on my Sultan. I got my first two rides on it this weekend. I love this fork. It has the 15mm axle which really makes a big difference in steering precision. The terralogic feature sems to work extremely well. No bobbing or brake dive, but very responsive and plush on rough stuff. We'll see how it holds up, but I'd really like one for my single speed.
