So here is my dilemma.. my rear shock air can valve cap sticks out and downward at a 45 degree angle but far enough that it constantly catches my inner leg around or just above the knee. It happens every couple of rides, and is getting old. The frame is a 2013 Salsa horsethief.

I need a solution for this, I am thinking about using a vacuum hose block off nipple glued to the cap only and trimmed to fit just the cap.

I just wanted to see if anyone here had any alternative ideas?

Can you reverse your shock?
Flip flop the mounting locations?
Some frames allow for this to be done easily, some don't.
Would it help if the valve was pointing up? If so, you can rotate the shock.

Had not thought of that, but the air can would not clear part of the linkage mid length of the way through the travel.

Or, just replace the metal cap with a plastic one?
I think this should do it, trimmed it just a bit to keep it the same length as the other cap. Will know by the end if my night ride tomorrow.
