Help picking a replacement wheelset

I just trashed my rear wheel today and consequently need a new wheelset. I was using a pair of WTB Laserdisc trail rims and generic giant hubs that came stock on my bike, and they actually were pretty good for the year they lasted. So I would like to get something at least as good if not a little better. I was thinking of a set of DT 5.1 rims with XT hubs from BWW. Would this be a good cost effective replacement - as they should be as strong and perhaps a little lighter? Is this a good choice or is there something better?

FWIW, budget is ~$300, I weigh 180lbs and would classify the use of the wheels as aggressive all mountain? - Lots of pedaling up, as well as lots of rocks, smaller drops and groomed jumps...
