The stock pad is great for XC/AM riding if your getting aggressive and riding steeps the Hayes Semi Metallic is the way to go. :cornut:skiracr2fast4u said:ALL MTN, and a little XC, more leaning towards ALL MTN. 6" travel full suspensh, 8" rotor up front, 6" out back. any other info?
Thanks a bunch
The stock pad works really good in all conditions until it gets hot just like most stock pads will. The Semi Metallic is a little sticky cold but once heated up is in it's element. Riding XC your not using the brakes as harsh as DH type riding hauling a 35+ pound bike, XC braking is much more finesse and control. I'm not saying the Semi Metallic wont work for XC as anything it's all personal. :cornut:skiracr2fast4u said:ok, now would the semi metallic not be as "beneficial" on XC/AM?
Thanks
