Help needed with Front Mech on 2009 S/L

I'm in the process of building my new SL 09, bought an XTR FD-971 dual pull front mech on Tuesday but can't see how it's going to fit...
Am I just being a wally, or have I got the wrong mech? Says on the SC site the FD971 is ok, but the band clamp seems to get in the way of the swing arm.
I'll post a couple of pics up on the other thread showing what bits I've got so far
