I just finished my 13 A9c SS build. Working the bugs out now. I hear alot of creaking for the seat post area while riding the trail sitting down. Is this normal? I used a carbo paste with my thompson post. Did I miss something or are carbon bikes really noisy? Are you suppose to carbo paste the head tube bearings? I did not but used a good bearing paste.

Thanks

Every Thomson post I've had has been incredibly noisy. Is always the rails and bolts. Clean it really well and apply very light grease to every piece of metal that touches metal in the head.
You were right! I greased the rails, bolts and re applied carbo paste to the seat tube. Silent ride!! Thanks. I did not think this would fix it but I am a young apprentice of the wiser grasshoppers!
