I have a great deal on this shock. I know it is a vanilla-R, but what year is it? Can it be PUSHed?

I guess a 2000 or earlier? I think in 2001 they went with an integrated eye-and-spring-retainer and on that one it looks like the retainer can be removed.

Best of the Vanilla R's

Yeah, as Wavedude mentioned, that shock has the two piece spring retainer/eyelet. In my opinion these were the best of the Vanilla R's with the one piece impact extruded body and removeable spring retainers.

And, yes, it can be Push'd
