i have a buddy that bought a 2002 nrs air from a ebay seller and kinda got screwed. the bike, contrary to the description, was trashed. he's been rebuilding the bushings and attempting to rebuild the rear shock.

every time i'm wanting to go ride with him the stupid shock is out.

what shock is it? if i just wanted to go buy him a replacement what should i get him?

The size will be 6.5" eye to eye, with a 1.5" stroke. The Cane Creek cloud nine is highly reccomended.

Many other shocks will work, but avoid propedal and SPV damping. The NRS design does not benifit from it.
