Help me find a part please!

Remember the old shimano fc-m952 xtr cranks? They required a lock ring to hold the chainring to the crank arm. I desparatly need 3 of those lockrings. I have 3 brand new cranks and chainring sets that I can't use without it. I can't find them anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Aren't the the same as a BB lock ring? The "old" loose ball type.

That's what I thought and they sure look like it from photos.

The tool interface is the same however the bb lockring has the threads facing out. This ring has them on the inside. I will post a pic of the crank later to show you. Thanks!

That is exactly what I need!. I thought the diameter would be wrong but as usual you guys have proven me wrong. Thanks to Shiggy and Shayne! Shiggy this is like the 5th time you have come through for me. Thanks for sharing! Hitting the bike shop this afternoon.

Well actually the bb lockring is too big. Oh well.

yeah, I just checked mine, it's only about 29 mm-30 mm in diameter, BB lockring would be about 35 mm.

Can't help, but how did you end up with 3 cranksets with no lockrings? :confused:
