I have not spent much time on the Jet and I will probably not get to test ride the X-rigor prior to purchase. I did get to take two Gary Fisher bikes on an extended test rides on two different days. One was a FS super cal and the other a HT paragon. I know the suspension design and materials are way different than the two frames I am looking at; I was basically trying to decide between a FS or HT. The FS was nice but not as cush as what I am used to riding - an '06 Giant Reign. The HT did not beat me as bad as I thought it would. I have not been on a HT for about 15 yrs. I've had a FS bike since the mid 90's. I'd think a Ti HT would be more forgiving. My lap times were actually faster on the HT but it did not feel I was going that fast. I *felt* faster on the FS.
I plan on using this bike as an XC race rig and for use in a 24hr race or two. The 24hr races I do are team events so I don't think I will need to spend more than 2-3 hours on the bike for my *turn* to ride.
Thanks for the help y'all.
