Hey I am looking for help finding a 27.5 wheel as I recently cracked mine in Tahoe and it’s not holding air. I don’t know much about wheels and just want to make sure I buy a compatible replacement. Not looking for anything super fancy, would just buy the same wheel but I cannot find it. It was a Giant pxc-2, pic attached. Thanks for your help

To buy a front wheel you need to know if it has a boost (15x110mm) or non-boost (15x100mm) hub.
non-boost are not as common new, but still not hard to find. I think Giant started using Boost on most MTBs around 2017.
The rim label says 19mm so the new rim/wheel could be wider (say 25-30mm).

When you take your wheel off, if the axle stays attached to the wheel it is quick release, if it is separate you have a thru axle. Easiest way to find hub width is by measuring the space between the dropouts in your fork, make sure you measure the inside dimensions (width of the gap), not the total width of the fork

Ok the axle is QR just gotta measure the distance now. Ok now getting into replacements, what’s some good quality brands and is it fine just replacing the front or should I go with a set? Looking to spend like 100-150 a wheel so 300 for a set new/used.

There's possibly a cheaper option. You can find a rim with the same 552 erd and same spoke count. Tape the new rim in line with the old, start transferring spokes one at a time. This will take some internet research on wheel building and an evening in front of the t.v., but <$100. Can use your bike as a truing stand. I've done this in the past with success, but a shop mechanic might disagree.

Looking at the pic again, it looks like the rim seam has a tiny gap in it from the factory (see pic below) and yours took a hit at that spot and burped the tire at the same time (looks like the bead is not seated at that spot). If there's a local shop, you might ask their opinion before replacing. Even if it won't hold air tubeless, you might be able to get away with throwing a tube in there if it's structurally sound. We can't really tell you if that's the case on the interwebs.

Ok so I looked up the specs of the bike (2016 Giant Trance Advanced 2) and got the specifics of the wheel. I don’t really have a reputable bike shop in my area, but I could try REI for looking and the rims integrity.

Specs are not right on that website. Here's Giant's description: "Hub: Giant Performance Tracker Disc, 32h, [F] 15mm axle" and "Fork: RockShox Sektor Gold RL Solo Air w/ 15mm thru-axle, OverDrive steerer, 140mm travel". Key points underlined by me. Since you said it has 6-bolt disc and no mention of boost from Giant, but given 2017's description does, it seems like it's not.

So basically a 15x100mm 27.5 6-bolt disc front wheel - as for where to buy one, it's been a long while since I shopped for wheels so others will probably have a better idea.
